This is where the power comes in from the power company and the meter goes into and it is read by person at each home or is read at office electronically over the power lines. Meter bases have wires and lugs where the wires attach. These lugs over years can become loose and burn up, wires can be over loaded and burn up. Once this happens your Electrical Contractor must take out a city permit and replace meter and any other damage and then it get inspected by city to get power restored.
